‘Hidden Saints’ Project: The Story

A couple years ago, my mom, sisters and I started a quest for ‘hidden saints.’ It is an intense, important task, I must say. You see, we are looking for men and women who are the most humble helpers and givers. They sacrifice their own happiness, time and space for others. They perform their actions without any expectations or gifts in return. They are simply, Hidden Saints.

They can be strangers. Friends. Family. Friends of Friends. Someone you follow on Instagram. Anyone!

We would find our Hidden Saint of the year and send them a card with a Hidden Saint message along with a little pampering treat such as a spa day, meal delivery certificate, piece of jewelry, etc.

What came out of a casual conversation with my Grandma is now on its way to become a passion project with the goal to continue spreading appreciation and hope for these selfless individuals around the globe. And the best part of it all? I get to do it side-by-side with my lovely mother - my own Hidden Saint. This incredible woman is constantly sacrificing for others. Whether it’s for my four other siblings or for pregnant women and teens, her full heart and helping hand has always been a constant inspiration to me and my family.

With this brand, we hope to spread a little bit of love and appreciation a long way. There are SO many people who deserve praise, and we hope we can help shine a spotlight on them.

The first step in taking this idea and concept we had casually used for the past couple years and turning it into a brand is to create a strong story that would be used on our product that the Hidden Saint would receive.

After much contemplation on how to turn such a delicate, special title into a single message, I came up with this:

Dear  _(insert name/title/stranger)_____

I have chosen you as my Hidden Saint.

But what does it mean to adorn a title this great?

A hidden saint is the most precious, 

the most loving and selfless being around.

They care for everyone else, 

before they care for themselves.

They are patient and kind.

They are strong and true. 

A Hidden Saint is precisely you. 

They do nothing to be noticed, 

And instead help and sacrifice in their own silent ways.

But this is me telling you, 

That your quiet kindness deserves a lot of praise. 

So thank you, for your kind and courageous actions

That has shown me how beautiful the world can be. 

It’s because of your silent helping hand 

That love continues spreading through this crazy world so free.

To My Hidden Saint,

I’m sure many of your days are long and exhausting, 

But I hope this little card shows that your acts of kindness is long lasting. 

Keep up your hard work and your generous love,

It is appreciated and recognized on Earth and up above.
